1 Reviews of the Soloista
By: DaveP65 Reason: I own(ed) one Made in: 2012 Rating:
Seen a couple of negative comments about this tent, especially with regard to tension and poles snapping when erecting. Answer - be careful and it shouldn't be an issue. Obviously a one man tent but I'm 5'9' and 16st and I have plenty enough room. Never used in rain so can't comment but for £25 worth a punt.

Manufacturer's Description
Versatile single-person tunnel design tent, ideal for backpackers or cycle touring. The Hi Gear Soloista combines a tunnel shape with inner-first pitching to make a single person shelter that is stable and adaptable.
The pre-angled poles give straighter sides and better head room, and easily slip through the inner tent for a quick pitch. The flysheet is then thrown over to create a streamlined and weather proof shelter, and the tough guylines help secure the tent in windy conditions.
Mesh venting in the inner tent and flysheet allows air to circulate for a cooler tent and less condensation. The side door is wide opening so you can get excellent views and have a sheltered porch area.
By pegging down the inner you can use the tent without the waterproof flysheet in hot conditions, ideal for insect-free rest stops or travelling in hot climates. The short pack length allows you to pack the tent into most backpacks or bike panniers.
